The Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce was established in 1993 and has been established for twenty-five years by 2018. At present, the influence of the Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce in mainland China is already very large. In Beijing, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce is one of the three major international chambers of commerce (Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce and the European Union Chamber of Commerce). The Beijing Municipal Government often conducts research on foreign investment environment in several major international chambers of commerce including the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce. Throughout China, the Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce has spread across nine regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, Wuhan, Qingdao, Sichuan, Zhejiang and Shenyang.

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Hong Kong chamber of commerce held a grand gala. The leaders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Office in Beijing participated in the evening. People from all walks of life from Hong Kong and the Mainland attended the party. They talked about the development of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and the experience of Hong Kong people living and working in the mainland.
