When does a Court Decision or Order Take Effect?

After the service of the judgment of first instance, if the parties do not appeal within 15 days after the receipt of the judgment, the judgment of first instance shall come into effect 15 days later. If the parties file an appeal to a higher court within 15 days, the trial will never take effect.

The judgment of the second instance shall come into effect immediately after it is served on the parties concerned.

After serving the written order of the first instance, if the parties do not appeal within 10 days after receiving the written order, the written order of the first instance shall come into effect 10 days later. If the party files an appeal to a higher court within 10 days, the ruling of the first instance shall not be effective.

The written order of the second instance shall come into effect immediately after it has been served to the parties, and the parties may not appeal.
